This being my first time experiencing and learning to use Dreamweaver and Fireworks amongst other programs it was challenging but fun. Not to mention I had frustrating times when things did not go how I wanted them to go.
Most of the assignments were difficult and confusing but paying close attention to what I read got me through the assignments. Also, questions or assignments that needed correcting were done in a timely manner and I appreciate that.

Bitmap vs. Vector tools

I have never worked with graphics tools before until I came to college and until I got my own computer and took this class. I did not start using graphics tools until I got introduced to Photoshop and Fireworks. In this class I got to try the Bitmap and Vector tools in the Fireworks textbook lessons I went through.
If I am not assuming wrong I think the image with the skull was created with vectors because it looks like it's not a photo and had to insert text (Fight!).
Next the photo of the woman I think is a bitmap because there had to be some retouches for the glow effect.
Finally the image of a man screaming looks like it was created both with bitmap and vector because of the photo of a man and the graphics that were added to it.

Table-Based Designs
I like KuC's homepage. It's design is based both on tables and CSS styles. I can tell by the sidebar and tables and the pictures inserted on the web page. Here is KuC's Homepage:
http://www.bethel.uaf.edu/Here is another page I visit every now and then it's the Lower Kuskokwim School District (L.K.S.D) Homepage. It looks like the page is designed based both on tables and CSS style. I can tell because there's a side bar and the tables are pretty obvious. Here is the URL address of L.K.S.D. -
http://www.lksd.org/lksd-home/index.asp
Last but not least the web page I visit every now and then and should start visiting more often is the ALEXsys Homepage. It is a on-line job center. It's design is based on both the table and CSS style because there's a sidebar and the table are obvious also with headers and lists. Here is the ALEXsys Homepage: http://alexsys.labor.state.ak.us/
I think my blog's design is based tables and CSS styles also because there are headers and lists and that gives it away.
Many sites use table layouts today because it allows to lay out images and text.

Using The Blog Editor

My favorite web site. The KuC Homepage at http://www.bethel.uaf.edu/
- Time is Money.
- We all need money these days.
- Money paid for college.
Thank goodness for scholarships!
"Reflection #1"
So far in this class I learned two ways to make a web page. The first way I learned was by manually entering the codes on a notebook and after that opened it on a web browser. The first time I only entered text and decorated them, such as, italasizing text and making text bold. Another thing I learned when I first tried making a web page was making ordered and unordered lists and I made bulleted and numbered lists.
Another way I learned to make a web page was by using the Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 software. But first I had to go through the introduction and install the software on my computer. I like making a web page using the Dreamweaver software compared to manually entering codes. I can choose CSS styles and I don't have to enter the codes, the software enters the codes which is awesome. It's cool how you can work with the code and design view at the same time in Dreamweaver and when you make edits it is done instantly and you can see it happening.
This is my first time using Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 and I have gone this far by myself. So far I have had no problems except for when I go off track. But then I go back and read the instruction and pay close attention to directions and then I get it right and do it right. I think the hard part is when I rush through the directions and I don't get what I did wrong until I go back and review the instructions. The easy and best part is previewing the page and opening the page in a browser and smile from ear to ear at what I have created.

Dreamweaver Thoughts
WOW! Dreamweaver is cool! The first time I went through chapter 1 of Dreavweaver Classroom in a Book it was confusing and remembering how to do stuff with it. For instance, remembering how to create a new page and saving it right away, how to modify the page, inserting text and images, adding foreground and background images, which buttons to use to preview in live view or a browser, and remembering to publish the page before viewing the page in a browser. Man it's hard but reviewing the text book helps.
It's cool how dreamweaver does the codes compared to manually inserting or keying in the codes. For instance, when I first tried making a page I had to do it in a notepad and insert the codes manually. I like how dreamweaver automatically inserts the codes for me in dreamweaver! Also like how I could choose CSS syles.
Another cool thing is I can work with code view and code and design or I can split the views while I am working on the page. The views also allow me to edit text in both code view and design view and my edit is instantly visible in both views.
This is the first time I used Dreavweaver and I find that it's irritating to try and remember how and what functions to use in the workspace of Dreamweaver. But reviewing and reading over helped me.
